She has Waardenburg syndrome, which means that some of her skin loses it's pigmentation over time. The discoloration for her is mostly on her back, and extends to her blue eyes. Her hair is actually only discolored partially on the back of her scalp, but she decided to dye the entire thing white to make it less noticeable. The syndrome also causes hearing problems, and I haven't decided if Trek technology would be good enough to fix that or if she would require hearing aids idk
